Tim Curry, the legendary villanious star in Hollywood, turns 76

Hollywood’s most beloved villanious star, Tim Curry aka Timothy James Curry has turned 76 years old on April 19. From ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ (1975) to ‘It’ (1990) mini-series, Curry has established such a remarkable career in his life, that fans flood the social media with wishes for him every year.

Born in Grappenhall, UK, the English actor has got a career spanning over fifty years in the industry. He rose to fame for his performance as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the famous film ‘The Rocky Horror Show’ in 1975. He worked in Broadway Theatre for a very long time. He worked in ‘Travesties’ (1974), ‘Amadues’ (1979), ‘My Favourite Year’ (1982) and many more plays during that time and has won three times Tony Award nominations for his theatre performances.

Curry has given numerous other unforgettable works like ‘Annie’ (1982), ‘Clue’ (1985), ‘The Three Musketeers’ (1993), ‘Titanic’ (1996), ‘Muppet Treasure Island’ (1996), ‘Scary Movie 2’ (2001), among others. He has also gained immense popularity for his work in the famous film ‘Home Alone’ (1990) and ‘Home Alone 2’ (1992).

Tim Curry is also a prodigious singer and has released three rock albums like ‘Read My Lips’ (1978), ‘Fearless’ (1979) and ‘Simplicity’ (1981).

The actor has also lent his voice in several animated films and children’s cartoon shows such as ‘Tom and Jerry Kid’s Show’ (1991), ‘Batman: The Animated Series’ (1992), ‘Disney’s Aladdin’ (1994), ‘Casper’ (1997), ‘Johnny Bravo’ (1999), ‘Ben 10: Alien Force’ (2008), ‘Ben 10: Omniverse’ (2013), etc. But then he suffered a major stroke in 2012 and soon after, he became dependent on wheelchair due to which he mostly shifted to voice works in the industry. Nevertheless, he has continued to perform as a singer and appears in many fan conventions.
