‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ has managed to gain an entry in the history books. The film now finds itself in the Top-10 biggest Bollywood grossers of all times. The film, after collecting Rs. 204 million more in its second weekend (Friday – Rs. 55 million, Saturday – Rs. 67 million, Sunday – Rs. 82 million). has now netted Rs. 1.9322 billion at the Box Office. With this, the Sooraj Barjatya film is now at the Number 9 position.

This is how the list looks like:

‘PK’ – Rs. 3.38 billion
‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ – Rs. 3.21 billion
‘Dhoom 3’ – Rs. 2.84 billion
‘Kick’ – Rs. 2.32 billion
‘Chennai Express’ – Rs. 2.27 billion
‘Happy New Year’ – Rs. 2.05 billion
‘3 Idiots’ – Rs. 2.02 billion
‘Ek Tha Tiger’ – Rs. 1.99 billion
‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ – Rs.1.9322 billion (still running)
‘Bang Bang’ – Rs. 1.81 billion

Going by the trend, it is expected that by the end of its lifetime, the film should find itself at the Number 6 spot, while surpassing ‘Happy New Year’ collections. However, ‘Chennai Express’ record would stay intact. While the film has stayed quite consistent in Gujarat, the excellent run there has been diluted by just good (which could have been better) performance in Delhi-Punjab zone.

Meanwhile, for Salman Khan this is a great run again as he now has four of his films in the Top-10 list of all times. Aamir Khan follows with three films, Shah Rukh Khan with two and Hrithik Roshan has one against his name as well.

New release of the week, ‘X: Past is Present’, didn’t find any takers even though it get a fair share of screens in select multiplexes.

Note: All collections as per production and distribution sources
