Viacom 18 Motion Pictures recently celebrated its fifth anniversary in Mumbai in a grand way and on that occasion, they also announced their upcoming slate of films in Hindi, Marathi, Bengali and Hollywood. Here is the list of some announced projects.
Hindi Films:-
1) Force 2 – Starring John Abraham, Sonakshi Sinha & Tahir Raj Bhasin. Directed by Abhinay Deo. Releases on November 18, 2016.
2) Rangoon – Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Shahid Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut. Releases on Feb 24, 2017.
3) Accidental Apprentice – Directed by Sreeram Raghvan.
4) Lucknow Central – Starring Farhan Akhtar. Produced by Nikhil Advani and directed by his assistant Ranjit Tiwari. Music by A.R. Rahman.
5) Haunted In the City – Directed by Vikram Bhatt.
6) Motu Patlu (semi-animated film) – Directed by Ketan Mehta and co-produced by
Singapore and Mumbai-based Cosmos-Maya.
7) Biopic on youngest marathon runner Buddhia Singh – Directed by Somendra Padhi. Releases in the first week of August 2016.
8) Rahasya 2 – Details not revealed yet.
9) Hindi remake of Bengali film ‘Belasheshe’
10) Hindi, Tamil & Telugu version of ‘In The House Next Door’ – Starring Siddharth and Andrea Jeremiah. Jointly produced by Viacom 18 and Etaki Entertainment.
Marathi Films:-
11) Photo Copy – Starring Vandana Gupte and debutants Chetan Chitnis and Parna Pethe. Directed by Vijay Mourya. Releases on September 16, 2016.
12) Waras – Starring Sachin Pilgaonkar and Swapnil Joshi.
13) Totaya – A period film on a Maratha warrior.
Bengali Films:-
14) Dhumketu – Starring Dev and Subhashree Ganguly. Directed by Kaushik Ganguly. Releases in October 2016.
Hollywood Films:-
15) XXX: The Return of Xanrer Cage – Starring Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson, Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone. Releases on January 20, 2017.
16) Baywatch – Starring Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass and Priyanka Chopra. Releases on May 19, 2017.
