Verdict in the long pending Jiah Khan case to be announced on April 28 by a CBI court

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court’s decision on the late actress Jiah Khan case will be announced on April 28. Actor Sooraj Pancholi has been slapped with charges of abetting the suicide of the late actress.

As per a report in ETimes, Sooraj Pancholi’s family has been instructed to be quiet and not speak to the media. “Sooraj has suffered enough”, said a close friend of the actor, who anonymously to ETimes. “He has had a deadly sword hanging over his head for ten years. This has been weighing heavily on his mind at all times. During these ten years, he has not been able to appreciate anything. Whether he is at work, at home, or with his family, the fact that he is an undertrial has followed him like a shadow. It’s like being locked up without actually being locked up,” the person added.

Sooraj experiences a mix of relief and dread as the day of the judgement draws near.

“He’s reached the point where any closure is preferable to this uncertainty. So be it if the honourable court deems him guilty. If he is judged not guilty, his suffering will come to an end. In any case, he has complete faith in the judiciary,” the person continued.

The person also said, “Sooraj spends all of his time with his family. They are making an effort to give him the best possible level of comfort. But he is unable to sleep due to the stress of waiting for the decision.”
