Ritesh Batra’s The Sense of an Ending to open the 28th Palm Springs International Film Festival

Close on the heels of him being selected by the prestigious Variety magazine in its list of the 10 directors to watch out for series, comes the news that Ritesh Batra’s ‘The Sense of an Ending’ will open the 28th Palm Springs International Film Festival.
The World Premiere screening of this much anticipated film will happen on 2nd Jan, 2017 at the Festival. The enchanting trailer of the film was released a few days back.
‘The Sense of an Ending’ is Ritesh’s second film (after Lunchbox), starring veteran British performing stars Jim Broadbent (Gangs of New York, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Moulin Rouge) and Charlotte Rampling (The Verdict, Aberdeen, Vanishing Point). Adapted from a Booker Prize winning novel by Julian Barnes, the film also stars Michelle Dockery of ‘Downton Abbey’ fame and Emily Mortimer (Shutter Island, Matchpoint, Harry Brown and The Newsroom).
Ritesh recently wrapped up the shoot of his next, much in news film- ‘Our Souls at Night’, starring the legendary Robert Redford and Jane Fonda.
