Jan-Michael Vincent became recognizable internationally for his work in the TV series ‘Airwolf’ (1984-1986), took his last breath three years ago on February 10, 2019 at the age of 74, due to cardiac arrest at Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. The news was devastating for all ‘Airwolf’ fans.

With those charming looks and great physique and marvellous acting skills, the star began his career in the late ‘60s with Universal Studios’ several TV series like ‘Dragnet’s (1950-2004) ‘The Grenade’ episode in 1968. He portrayed as a high school muscular student, who suffered an acid attack. He also appeared in ‘Danger Island’ (1968-1969), the prime-time soap opera ‘The Survivors’ (1969-1970) along with Lana Turner and George Hamilton among others. He had also appeared in the famous TV series ‘Gunsmoke’s (1955-1975) ‘The Legend’ episode in 1971.

Sadly, the handsome actor had to deal with issues with alcohol and drug addiction even before ‘Airwolf’ started filming. Jan-Michael Vincent had a lot of talent and there was no doubt about that.

Jean Bruce Scott, the American veteran retired actress, who starred in ‘Airwolf’ as Caitline O’Shannessy along with Jan-Michael Vincent, has shared an old picture of Vincent, with dazzling smile and also shared her experience working with him on his death anniversary on social media. She said, looking back at her career, ‘Airwolf’ has brought a lot of joy and tears too. That was an exciting time of her career, working with Jan, Ernest Borgnine and Alex Cord.

In the post, Jean spontaneously kept on complimenting Jan-Michael’s smile and said that he was always very cheerful and happy, despite his reputation being taciturn and sullen and expressed her condolence, saying he is deeply missed by all.

Apart from TV series, Vincent had also done few remarkable movies like 20th Century Studios’ ‘The Undefeated’ (1969), where he appeared as guest appearance portraying himself. He also featured in ‘Going Home’ (1971), ‘The Mechanic’ (1972), ‘Tribes’ (1979). He had also appeared in Walt Disney’s comedy movie ‘The World’s Greatest Athlete’ (1973). Vincent had also portrayed the role of an anti-hero in ‘Buster And Billie’ (1974), ‘Bite The Bullet’ (1975), ‘White Line Fever’ (1975), ‘Baby Blue Marine’ (1976) and many more.

Jan-Michael Vincent was a remarkable actor. His character Stringfellow Hawke in ‘Airwolf’ is still widely appreciated even today. After being axed from the show after Season 3 in 1986, his career went downhill and it was difficult for him to make a comeback. Despite all of this, Jan-Michael Vincent will never be forgotten. He gave TV viewers one of the best shows ever – ‘Airwolf’.
