Kate Winslet rose to fame after the all-time legendary film ‘Titanic’ (1997) had released. The actress has recently opened up about her, taking a long break for a whole year in 2021. Winslet was last seen in the HBO’s mystery series ‘Mare Of Easttwon’ (2021). She won an Emmy Award for her performance as Mare Sheehan in the series.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, Winslet talked about her all the way journey in the entertainment industry and also shared, what she is looking forward to in 2022. In an interview with Variety she said, “I took last year off to be with my family and to recover from ‘Mare of Easttown’. It was good to have a bit of a reset. But I love my job and I’m really ready to throw myself back into it.”

She further added, “For an actor, there’s nothing as thrilling as being in a room with other actors. I am craving that again. But I’ve got heaps going on this year so I’m excited to get going.”

The 46-year-old actress is known for her works mainly in periodic dramas, as well as portraying typical headstrong characters. Apart from ‘Titanic’, she has also given numerous other remarkable films like ‘Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind’ (2004), ‘Finding Neverland’ (2004), ‘The Holiday’ (2006), ‘The Reader’ (2008), among others.

Winslet says, she would dearly love to work with Helen Mirren again, as she worked with her before in ‘Collateral Beauty’ (2016). She complimented Mirren by saying, “There is nobody quite like her. She is powerful and riveting in everything she does.”

Honouring International Women’s Day, Winslet happily shared a few pieces of advice referring to the young women, who are entering in this entertainment world and said not to expect that the world owes anything to them. They have to work hard to achieve it, “Just keep experimenting and practicing, even if that’s just at home. Don’t act in front of a mirror. All that does is show you what your facial expressions are. But it’s more important to start from the inside. Try not to be hard on yourself if you don’t get a role, you really wanted, just keep going.”

Meanwhile, ‘Mare Of Easttwon’ is going to renew for a second season, which is yet-to-be-announced by HBO and Winslet will be seen again with her powerful character.
