‘Naatu Naatu’ from RRR creates history; wins the Oscar for Best Song

It’s really a proud moment for India, as the chartbuster song of last year, “Naatu Naatu” won the Oscar. The song has created history and became the first song from Indian cinema to win in the Best Song category, at the 95th Academy Awards 2023.

The song is composed by ace music composer M.M. Keeravani, and the lyrics are penned by Chandrabose. The song became a chartbuster upon its release in every language and took social media and the internet by storm. The foot-tapping song also created history on Instagram.

Director S.S. Rajamouli, Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, M.M. Keeravani and lyricist Chandrabose were present at the 95th Academy Awards while M.M. Keeravaani and Chandrabose accepted the Oscar award.

‘RRR’ (2022) starred Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead, while Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt made prominent appearances in the film in an extended cameo. The film was directed by S S Rajamouli.
