S S Rajamouli’s RRR clocks one year

It’s been a year since the release of S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘RRR’ (2022). It released on March 25, last year and has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of the country. Since morning, the diehard fans of S S Rajamouli’s film, starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, have been trending #1YearOfHistoricalRRR on Twitter.

Audiences still groove to its globally hit song “Naatu Naatu” and still enjoy the magnum opus film.

To mark the special occasion, the makers wrote on Twitter, “It’s been a year since #RRRMovie was released and it is still running in theatres somewhere in the world, getting housefuls.

This feeling is bigger than any award, and we cannot thank you all enough for all the love you have showered throughout. #1YearOfHistoricalRRR.”

Written by V Vijayendra Prasad, the period action film gathered a lot of appreciation from the audiences, in India as well as across the globe. It collected over Rs. 1206 Crore worldwide with an estimated expense of over Rs. 550 Crore and it gave the Tollywood industry a whole new identity.

The big-budget period film was in the making for over three years. It was filmed Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad, at Gachibowli area and also at Ukraine and Bulgaria.

The high on VFX film was honoured with several awards including the Oscar for the Best Original Song for “Naatu Naatu” this year.

Post the grand success of ‘RRR’, Ram Charan and Jr. NTR garnered a lot of appreciation for their amazing transformation and dedication to Rajamouli’s dream project. The film proved its merit in every corner of the world.
