Making your debut in a film co-produced by Akshay Kumar would be a dream come true for any aspiring actor. Mohit Marwah, who is connected to the glorious Kapoor (Anil Kapoor) family did not use his family connections to get his first film. After going through a round of auditions, the young actor whose family runs a film school in Noida, got the opportunity to play one of the principal characters in ‘Fugly’, directed by Kabir Sadanand. Though the film had Akshay Kumar’s backing, a song featuring Akshay and Salman Khan, it could not really set the cash registers ringing. However, Mohit got a fair share of critical acclaim and the actor was next seen in music videos (“Lamhein”), short films (Y Films’ ‘Love Shots’) and walking the ramp for leading designers. The actor took his own time to sign his next feature film.

Three years later, Mohit is all set to be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s ‘Raag Desh’. The film is based on the Indian National Army trials and features Mohit in the role of Colonel Prem Sehgal. As evident from the trailer, the period film deals with a serious subject and Mohit essays a role that seems to be quite challenging. With a name like Tigmanshu Dhulia attached to the film and the film carrying positive reports, one looks forward to see how Mohit performs in his second outing as an actor.

‘Raag Desh’ film is presented by Rajya Sabha TV, produced by Gurdeep Singh Sappal and UFO Moviez are strategic partners. The film is slated to release on 28th July.
