Recently Malala Yousafzai’s documentary ‘Stranger At The Gate’ got nominated for Oscar 2023. Hence she got invited for an interview with National Public Radio (NPR), an US organisation.

Although she has been asked several crucial questions about her documentary, the one question that made audiences quite inquisitive was about her choosing between Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. The question was, “Let’s say your Nobel Prize came with free concert tickets, but you had to choose between Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. Who do you pick?”

And guess what the Novel laureate replied! She trickily replied to avoid any controversy. She said, “So when I was little, I used to, like, sing the “Love Story” song together with my friends. So that was like one of the first two songs we started singing back in Pakistan. And Beyonce, I mean, she is a legend, so I would want both tickets. I have the Nobel Peace Prize and I demand both.”

The reply instantly went viral. While praising both the pop-stars, many even praised Malala’s intelligence on social media.

Even Malala re-shared a page’s post about the interview, where she wrote on Twitter, “I would never want any bad blood between us.” After her re-sharing, the tweet garnered 10.2 million views and still counting.
