After Ajay Devgn’s ‘Runway 34’ (2022), he maked a return to direction with his ambitious project ‘Bholaa’, in which he also essayed the role of the lead protagonist. Ajay has given his all hard work, sincerity and time to this project.

The teaser and songs had already created a huge buzz amongst the audiences, and now with a two-minute plus trailer, the March release has further enhanced the hype.

Talking about the trailer, it is visually stunning brilliant with a fast pace and massy dialogues that successfully manage to make viewers curious for the film. The trailer also gives a hint about a dramatic subplot developing, which grabs our interest.

Tabu and Ajay seem to do a brilliant job in the trailer, but what surprises us is the solid performances from its supporting cast, which includes Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, Vineet Kumar and Gajraj Rao.

The stunts are beautifully choreographed. The narration in the background adds to the building suspense. The usage of the Lord Shiva element in the scenes of struggle and fight shown is good, and the rightly placed background music definitely lifts up the overall effect. Ravi Basrur has done a commendable job with his background score, which seems to go well with the mood set by the trailer.

One cannot conclude the review of the trailer without mentioning the cinematography and production design. The visuals of this film are breathtaking, be it in the action sequences, thrilling chase sequences, or dramatic scenes. A special mention needs to be made for the man behind this feat—Aseem Bajaj, also a special mention should go to its writers, Aamil Keeyan Khan and Sandeep Kewlani; the duo have created strong characters and adapted the story smartly and accurately from its original.

‘Bholaa’ is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Kaithi’ (2019), which starred Karthi and was directed by Lokesh Kanagraj. The film is scheduled for release in 3D and IMAX 3D on March 30, 2023.
