It won’t be wrong to say that she has made her image like Aamir Khan. Like Mr. Perfectionist, she now has a bigger responsibility towards the audience and her fans.

Kangana who has completed nine years in the industry (her debut film was ‘Gangster’ in 2006), is also known for doing all she can to get under the skin of her character. She is the one who doesn’t dare doing risky tasks for the preparation for her role. It has been reported that the actress has interacted with students of the University of Delhi in disguise, attended workshops to learn the Haryanvi language and was trained in the sport of triple jump to play the aspiring athlete in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.

Rangoon
‘Rangoon’ is her most expensive film to date and a Broadway style musical. Vishal Bhardwaj is returning to the big screen after the much critically acclaimed ‘Haider’ (2014), with a stellar star-cast including Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor. With the backing of producer Sajid Nadiadwala and music by Vishal Bhardwaj, Rangoon is one of the highly anticipated movies of Kangana Ranaut in 2016.

Kangana plays a 1940’s movie star named ‘Julia’ who entertains British troops. Her character is said to be so tough and powerful, for which she will have to prepare a lot. She will have to learn horse-riding, sword fighting and even ballet to play the character with conviction. She has travelled to New York city to learn various dance forms like belly dancing, cabaret dancing and then went to an island in Mexico for ten days to learn solo leaving. She will soon visit Tokyo too as the part of preparation for her character.

‘Rangoon’ is a love triangle like the 1942 Hollywood film ‘Casablanca’ set against the drop of the second world war. The film that revolves around the battle between Subhash Chandra Bose’s army and that of the Indian soldiers from the British army, is expected to be an eye-opener on a chapter of history that many people are completely aware of.

Simran
Kangana Ranaut is playing the title role in this movie, to be directed by the critically acclaimed ‘Shahid’ fame director Hansal Mehta. The movie is reportedly said to be inspired by Indian based American robber Sandeep Kaur. Hansal’s style of filmmaking meeting Kangana’s acting prowess is already creating tremendous buzz for ‘Simran’.

Kangana plays a Gujrari girl who goes to California and gets embroiled in criminal activities. Her character, Simran is very self-assured who dreams of making it big. She sets out to fulfill her mother’s dream but ends losing everything and becomes a bank robber.

Ketan Mehta, of ‘Mangal Pandey’ (2005), ‘Rang Rasiya’ (2014) and ‘Manhji – The Mountain Man’ (2015) fame is known to extract powerful performances from his cast.

To get into the skin of this character, Kangana will have to undergo heavy-duty training in horse-riding, sword-fighting and other warfare skills. Kangana is super excited about this period extravaganza and looking forward to play a mother and a warrior on-screen.

But before involving in the preparations for her upcoming challenging roles, Kangana Ranaut will be seen romancing Imran Khan in Nikhil Advani’s ‘Katti Batti’ that releases on September 18, 2015. Well, one thing is sure that Kangana is going to rule each and everyone’s heart with her solid and quirky performances again with these upcoming films.
