Ever since Johnny Depp won the defamation lawsuit against ex-wife, Amber Heard and got awarded $15 million in damages by the jury, fans all over the world have been praising Depp’s lead attorney, Camille Vasquez for giving her all in helping the actor win the case. During the whole six-week course of the lawsuit, Vasquez became quite a star on social media. Some even speculated about the relationship between the two.

Recently in an interview with People magazine, Vasquez finally opened up about the rumoured romance topic between them and absolutely resented the speculation. Being disappointed, she said, “I guess it comes with the territory of being a woman just doing her job. It’s disappointing that certain outlets kind of ran with it or said that my interactions with Johnny, who is a friend and I have known and represented him for four-and-a-half years now, that my interactions in any way were inappropriate or unprofessional. That’s disappointing to hear.”

The 37-year-old lawyer continued, “I care very deeply about my clients and we have obviously become close. But when I say we, I mean the entire team and of course that includes Johnny. And, I’m Cuban and Colombian. I’m tactile. What do you want me to say? I hug everyone. I’m not ashamed about that.”

When Vasquez was being asked about Depp, she replied, “This man was fighting for his life and it broke my heart to see him day in and day out have to sit there and listen to the most horrific allegations being made against him. If I could provide any bit of comfort, then of course I would do that, whether it’s holding his hand or letting him know that we were there and we were going to fight for him because he deserved it.”

Camille said that she has already got a loving boyfriend and she is very happy in her relationship. She ended the topic by saying that it is absolutely unethical for lawyers to date their clients.
