Of late, music company T-Series had been trying to revive non-film music in India by releasing singles by prominent artistes. To ensure that the song or the music video does not get lost in the crowd, it ropes in popular movie stars to feature in them. “Yahin Hoon Main”, the latest music video released by the label, features Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam and has been sung by Ayushmann himself. Ayushmann had earlier collaboarated with T-Series for the single “Mitti Di Khushboo” which had him paired up with Huma Qureshi.

There is a sense of intrigue in the video which starts with a ransacked van and ends with giving viewers a piece of information that makes them put on their thinking caps. Keeping this ‘suspense’ angle apart, this video offers a simple yet heart-warming portrayal of a young woman reminiscing about the relationship she had with a guy in her college days. One gets to see some poignant moments shared by this couple as the breezy song composed by Rochak Kohli and Ayushmann Khurrana.

The song engulfs you in its warmth when you hear it for the first time. Yes, the tune is not as ‘catchy’ as a “Paani Da Rang” or a “Mitti Di Khushboo” but it does get stuck in your head after a few hearings. Director Amit Roy has done a fabulous job with the visuals as the beautifully shot video elevates the track to a few notches higher.
