“An actor should try to gain as many experiences as he can” – Siddharth Sharma

After making his acting debut with ‘MTV Big F’, Siddharth Sharma is now a part of the extremely popular youth based show ‘MTV Splitsvilla X’. The young actor from Delhi is making a noise for all the right reasons. Owing to the popularity of his shows, the theatre-trained actor has found a huge fan following among youngsters which is expected to grow even bigger as he will be seen in a new show by Alt Balaji. In this interview, he talks about his journey, love for acting and thirst for new experiences in life.

You are from Delhi. When did you land up in Mumbai to become an actor?
I was very active in theatre since my childhood. I had a keen interest in performing arts. I used to actively participate in the plays conducted in school and college. Liliput ji was putting together a play in Mumbai and he asked me to be a part of it. That is how I landed up in Mumbai. Before that, I had performed extensively in various theatre productions in Delhi.

After doing theatre for so long and being a part of a successful TV show, what made you think of participating in a reality show?
I strongly feel that an actor should try to gain as many experiences as he can. I am a young actor who has just started out in his career. Also, I am a very adventurous person. I would like to go trekking, skydiving, learn horse riding – anything that helps me grow as an actor. Till the age of eighteen, I was a non-vegetarian. After that, I turned vegetarian to experience what it feels to be a vegan. I think these kind of experiences help you understand different kind of characters that you will portray as an actor. Likewise, I got the offer to participate in a really good reality show and I lapped it up. The experience that I got on the show was very enriching.
