“I want to see myself on the big screen” – Ankit Bhetiwal

After being a part of shows like ‘Sabka Sapna Money Money’, ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’ and ‘Agnifera’, actor Ankit Bhetiwal will soon be seen in a yet-untitled show produced by Lost Boy Productions. In this interview, the young actor, who hails from Uttarakhand, talks about facing rejections with a smile, passion for dance and music and his journey as an actor so far.

Tell us something about your background. When and how did you develop a penchant for acting?
I come from a small town called Haldwani in Uttarakhand. After completing my graduation, I moved to Delhi and learnt filmmaking at MassCoMedia Institute. Then, I came to Mumbai to become an actor.

You made your debut as an actor with the show ’Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’.  How did you get the break?
Actually, I had done a show before that called ‘Sabka Sapna Money Money’ that aired on SAB TV. After that, I auditioned for ‘Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya’ and got to be a part of the show. I am grateful to Vikas Gupta of Lost Boy Productions for giving me my first big break on television.

Apart from acting, you also seem to have an interest in singing and dancing. On YouTube, one comes across several videos of you – you have done cover versions of some popular songs and there are some dance based videos as well. Do you plan to release a single or cut an album someday?
I am very passionate about music and dance. Given the opportunity, I would love to cut an album of my own. I had acted in a music video called ‘O Maahiya’. It is an original composition and is sung by Gaurav Kumar. Right now, my focus is on acting but in the future, I would love to showcase my abilities as a singer and a dancer as well.
