In 2022, ‘Welcome To Wrexham’, a sports docu-series was released and it was about how two Hollywood stars, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, paired up in 2020 to revive the third oldest professional football club in the world. The series also highlighted the duo’s hopes in improving the team and bringing positive change to the local Wrexham community.

Wrexham AFC aka Wrexham Association Football Club, the oldest club in Wales, was formed in 1864. Before Reynolds and McElhenney took over, the club was struggling not just financially, but on the field as well. They hired Phil Parkinson as the club manager and successfully managed to rescue the club.

Now Reynolds and McElhenney have finally revealed that the Season 2 of ‘Welcome To Wrexham’ will premiere on September 12, 2023 on FX Channel and Hulu app. Just ten days back, FX Networks dropped the much awaited trailer and it has already impressed the netizens.

The first Season ended with Wrexham’s epic defeat with a 5-4 score against Grimsby Town. The second Season is expected to depict the promotion of the club as it enters the second league and the fourth tier of the English football league system.
