Singer-composer Vishal Dadlani has judged the singing reality show ‘Indian Idol’ from season 10 to 12. But he left in the middle of season 12 because the whole team of ‘Indian Idol’ moved to Daman from Mumbai after the announcement of lockdown for the second wave of the pandemic. He wanted to spend his time with his family during this time in Lonavala, so he did not want to shift and left the show.

After that, music composer-singer Anu Malik has been brought to the show ‘Indian Idol’ season 12 as a judge to replace the prolific composer. Commenting on this Vishal Dadlani said in an interview, “I was out for a few months, so obviously they had to get a new judge in my place to get back on the show. I am expensive as a judge and therefore it would not have worked to recover.” Vishal attended season 12 with judges Sonu Kakkar and Himesh Reshammiya and the show was hosted by Aditya Narayan.

Vishal is now all set to judge a new season of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ reality show. Talking about this he says, “Whether I judge a show or not, you can and I will find a way to be happy music is the center of our universe. And whether I’m walking away from a show for personal reasons or starting to judge a new show, the main idea or focus is helping young musicians nurture them and give them a platform.”
