Veteran directors David Lynch and Steven Spielberg to join forces

It’s been reported by the Variety website that, David Lynch is going star in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming movie ‘The Fabelmans’. The film is the first collaboration between the two veteran directors. They both are appraised as one of the most celebrated directors in Hollywood.

David Lynch made his debut with ‘Eraserhead’ (1977) and the film became a commercially hit. After that he has given back-to-back hits like ‘The Elephant Man’ (1980), ‘Dune’ (1984), ‘Blue Velvet’ (1986) and many more. Lynch has earned three Academy Awards, one César Award and also one Palme d’Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival. The 76-year-old director has also starred in the TV show ‘Twin Peaks’ (1990).

On the other hand, after directing various movies for Universal Pictures, Steven Spielberg earned the spotlight. He is best known for films like ‘Indiana Jones’ (1981) film series, ‘Jurassic Park’ (1993) film series, ‘The Adventure Of Tintin’ (2011) and the recently released ‘West Side Story’ (2021). Spielberg has also earned various prestigious accolades such as Academy Awards, Kennedy Center honour, AFI Life Achievement Award and many more.

‘The Fabelmans’ story is partly based on Spielberg’s childhood experiences in Arizona. Paul Dano will be playing the role of Spielberg’s father, Michelle Williams as his mother and Seth Rogen as his uncle. The film also stars Judd Hirsch, Sam Rechner, Oakes Fegley, Chloe East, Juila Butters, Jeannie Berlin, Robin Bartlett, Jonathan Hadary and Isabella Kusman.
