Shazam! star Zachary Levi slams Hollywood; requests moviegoers to avoid garbage films

It’s been just a week, Zachary Levi made a shocking comment on the SAG-AFTRA strike by calling out the rules “dumb”. The ‘Shazam!’ (2019) star is once again making headlines now for slamming Hollywood for providing “garbage” content. According to him, a lot of current releases are pure nonsense.

Levi said in an interview at Chicago Fan Expo, “I personally feel like the amount of content that comes out of Hollywood is garbage. They don’t care enough to actually make it great for you guys. They don’t. How many times do you watch a trailer and go, ‘Oh my god, this looks so cool!’ Then you go to the movie and it’s like, ‘This was what I get?’.”

Levi advised that moviegoers have got the power to vote out these “garbage” films from Hollywood by absolutely avoiding and not spending money on them.

For the unversed, Zachary’s own film ‘Shazam: Fury Of The Gods’ (2023) has been one of the biggest flops of the year. The film has only collected $57 million at the box office.

“They know that once you’ve already bought the ticket and you’re in the seat, they’ve got your money. And the only way for us to change any of it is not to go to the garbage. We have to actively not choose the garbage. It’ll help. It’ll help a lot”, Levi further said.
