As we all are aware now about the surprising changes happening in DCEU family as the boss James Gunn and Peter Safran are dropping shocking news, almost every week. Just a few days ago, Gunn revealed that DC has replaced Henry Cavill from reprising Superman’s role, which hurt fans’ sentiments deeply.

In fact, netizens sarcastically joked about Gunn and Safran’s decision on ‘Black Adam’ by stating that DCEU should now also replace Dwayne Johnson with Vin Diesel as the next Black Adam. Now fans have also jokes that Zachary Levi will be replaced from the next ‘Shazam’ (2019) film. This piece of information is widely being shared on social media and many angry netizens fell for, believing it to be true.

Recently in response to this rumours, Zachary Levi came forward and talked about it publicly while defending James Gunn and Peter Safran. He dropped a live video of himself on Instagram and urged fans not to believe the speculations.

He said in the video, “I’m not the boss, I have no idea what the heck is ultimately going on, but I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that… Listen, I loved Walter Hamada. I loved him as a boss, I love him as a human being, and I hope to work with him wherever he goes. But I couldn’t have hand chosen two better people to be the people that are now helping to guide where the DC Universe is going. You have no idea the reasonings behind any of the decisions that are going on. The amount of conjecture and rumour mill and drama and nonsense that keeps getting spun around out there on Instagram and Twitter is laughable. It is unbelievably laughable. So I would just say be patient, and give them some space and some time to try and really make something special and I think something that DC deserves to have, and something that (Zack) Snyder tried to do and it just didn’t ultimately materialize, guys.”

While talking about replacement, Zachary confirmed that he is still playing the character of Shazam, “At this point right now, I’m still that character. I have not had any outgoing conversations with the bosses. We have a movie that’s literally coming out in March. I have no idea what’s going to ultimately happen to me. I think I’m in a pretty good position.”

The sequel ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods’, starring Zachary Levi, Grace Fulton, Asher Angel, Rachel Zegler, Jack Dylan Grazer, Meagan Good and directed by David F. Sandberg is all set to release on March 17, 2023.
