Pop-star Shakira has been going through a very difficult time since last year as she got cheated by her ex-husband Gerard Piqué, the Spanish footballer, who plays for FC Barcelona. As soon as she learnt about the cheating, she divorced the footballer within no time and later in the middle of 2022, Piqué made his first public appearance with his new girlfriend, a 23-year-old PR student, Clara Chia Marti.
Not only that, the “Waka Waka” singer had also accused Piqué for being disloyal to her multiple times and for being involved with multiple women during their twelve years of marriage. Shakira and Gerard had tied the knot in 2011 and have two children, Milan and Sasha Piqué Mebarak.
Now it seems like she finally got the chance to channel her frustration through singing as she slammed Piqué through her latest music single “BZRP Music Sessions #53” along with Bizarrap, the Argentine DJ and record producer.
After Bizarrap dropped the song on his YouTube Channel, it seems like Shakira’s collaboration with him became like a therapy for her as she expressed about her depression quite bluntly and did not hold back at all. In the song “BZRP Music Sessions #53”, Shakira sang, “A wolf like me doesn’t have time for novices like you/ I was too much for you, that’s why you’re now with someone more like yourself.”
“You left me in the in-laws as my neighbours, media outlets at my door and in debt with the Treasury/ You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger. Women don’t cry anymore; they cash in”, she continued singing.
