The phenomenal success of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham-starrer ‘Pathaan’ (2023) has made Siddharth Anand the hottest property in the industry. As of now, the movie is the biggest Bollywood blockbuster of the year. The director debuted with ‘Salaam Namaste’ (2005) followed by ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’ (2007) and both these films starred Saif Ali Khan in the lead. The two are now ready to work together for the first time in sixteen years on an action movie for the leading digital platform Netflix, as per reports.

This time, though, Siddharth will be the producer and the film will be directed by one of his associate directors for the former’s production house, Marflix Productions. The project is a large-scale actioner that will eventually become a franchise depending on the success of the initial part. The rescue effort that Saif’s character leads will be the main focus of the untitled movie’s plot.

This large-scale project will also mark Saif’s return to Netflix following the two-season run of his well-received and highly acclaimed debut web series, ‘Sacred Games’ (2018).

Apart from the above mentioned film, Siddharth is directing ‘Fighter’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone followed by ‘Tiger Vs Pathaan’, starring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. It is expected to go on floors early next year.

Talking about Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming project, the actor has ‘Adipurush’ in the pipeline which is schedule to release globally next month on June 16. The actor is currently shooting for the Pan India actioner ‘Devara’ which will release during Eid weekend next year.
