Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty’s husband got arrested by Mumbai Cyber Crime Branch on 19th July 2021 for the case relating to create pornographic films and publishing them through an app.
Mumbai police registered an FIR in February in this case and arrested nine people with connection to it. Raj Kundra’s name came up during the interrogation of those accused.
The videos were uploaded through mobile apps and several porn websites. The racket was found out by a property cell official when raided a bungalow in the Madh area, Malad in February. Those accused were caught luring women and men to act in pornographic films in the name of offering roles into Hindi films.
Raj Kundra has been arrested under section 420 (Cheating), 34 (Common intention), 292 and 293 (Obscene and indecent advertisement and displays) and Indecent Representation of Women Act. The 45-year-old businessman was produced before the Esplanade Court on 20th July 2021.
