Pragya Kapoor’s Ek Saath Foundation turns two years today. The NGO works towards the vision of creating an eco-friendly, sustainable world under the leadership of the leading producer and environmentalist.
Within a short span of two years, Pragya Kapoor has earned many milestones with Ek Saath Foundation. The producer even became the force behind India’s first zero-waste film, ‘Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’ (2021). She employed various innovative and corrective methods to achieve the same.
While sharing her excitement, Pragya Kapoor wrote a heartfelt note on Instagram, “Happy birthday @eksaathfoundation Today. I would like to celebrate all the people who have stood by us and made these achievements possible. Who would have thought that within 2 years we would have built a waste collection centre far up the mountains, fed over 12,000 families in the first lockdown, redirected over 40,000 kgs from the landfills, done a zero waste film, numerous clean-ups and tree plantation drives. But that’s the power of doing things #EkSaath. Individually we’re all just dreamers, but together we’re a movement. Together we are the change, together we’re infinite!”
Pragya Kapoor also thanked Shah Rukh Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Dia Mirza, for their support.
The producer worked with Shah Rukh Khan to feed the underprivileged amid the first lockdown. Meanwhile, Aditya Roy Kapur came to the Ek Saath Foundation launch. Dia Mirza, already a big name as an environmentalist, is also on Foundation’s advisory board.
Others that have been seen supporting Pragya in the past are Sussanne Khan, Mouni Roy, Mrunal Thakur, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Nora Fatehi and Radhika Madan, among others.
