Meryl Streep, one of the heritage actresses in Hollywood turns 73

An iconic star with a record of 21 Oscar nominations and 3 times Oscar winner, Meryl Streep has turned 73 years old today, June 22. Meryl is that one actress, who has always been described as the best actress of her generation. Even all over the world, people often mention her name as an epitome of true beauty with legendary acting skills. With movies like ‘Wagons Full Of Cotton’ (1976), ‘A Memory Of Two Mondays’ (1977), ‘The Dear Hunter’ (1978), among others, there was truly no one like Meryl ever. The whole world is celebrating her birthday on social media and this proves that how much she is still loved by all.

Born in Summit, New Jersey, Streep begun her career working at Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center and later moved to New York in 1975 and made her debut with ‘Julia’ (1977) in Hollywood. She is basically famous for her brilliant accent adaptability and versatility and therefore, she grabbed few roles within her first year in New York, which also includes Joseph Papp’s production ‘Trelawny Of the Wells’ at the Vivian Beaumont Theater opposite Mandy Patinkin and John Lithgow, Papp’s New York Shakespeare Festival productions of ‘Henry V’, ‘The Taming Of The Shrew’ with Raul Julia and ‘Measure For Measure’ opposite Sam Waterston and John Cazale.

Apart from these, Meryl has given numerous other unforgettable movies like ‘Kramer Vs. Kramer’ (1979), ‘Manhattan’ (1979), ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’ (1981), ‘Sophie’s Choice’ (1982), ‘Falling In Love’ (1984), ‘Out Of Africa’ (1985), ‘She-Devil’ (1989), ‘The House Of The Spirits’ (1993), ‘Music Of The Heart’ (1999), ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ (2006), ‘Mamma Mia!’ (2008) and many more.

Meryl Streep was called as ‘Magic Meryl’ long ago by Times Magazine and seems like her magic hasn’t faded yet, as she has recently stunned us with her acting in ‘Don’t Look Up’ (2021) as President Orlean along with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence. She will be next seen in period-drama ‘Babylon’ along with Brad Pitt, Tobey Maguire and Margot Robbie, which is all set to release in theatres this Christmas.
