Advertisements/ brand endorsements are always known for giving the most fresh and unexplored celebrity pairing to its audience. Be it the gorgeous looking pair-Ranbir and Shruti for an electronic brand or the off beat paring of Deepika and Purab Kohli for a coffee brand or the fun pairing of Parineeti and Kunal Kpoor for a Namkeen ad. It’s always what one had least expected or thought of.
The latest to join the fresh pair squad is the uber cool and young pair- Varun Dhawan and Pooja Hegde for a beverage brand campaign. Both the actors recently shot for a new campaign and what translated out of the young pairing was unmatched energy and chemistry.
Says an insider source close to the brand ,”The brand managers were looking for a young and fun couple, who could stand true to the fun brand and had a pan India youth appeal. Pooja who has recently shot for a series of fashion magazine caught the fancy of the brand as they thought she looked extremely versatile and different in every picture they saw of her. Both Varun and Pooja together brought that instant freshness to the campaign which the brand managers were looking for. The brand has always tried to bring together a fresh, unique and young pair on screen together and Varun and Pooja fit the bill just right. Varun, with his strong fan following and Pooja with her North-to-South connect were an instant choice for the campaign.”
Interestingly, earlier, another fresh pair- Parineeti and Imran Khan were the faces of the brand’s previous campaign. The AD that got releases online last week have already caught the fancy of the youth who have loved the fresh new pairing of Pooja and Varun. On social media they have also started referring to them as #Varooja.
