Lata Mangeshkar the legendary singer tests positive for Covid-19 and is admitted to ICU in Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. She is 92 and had mild symptoms. Her niece Rachna confirmed that she has been kept in ICU only for precaution, considering her age. She further said that she was doing fine and urged fans to respect their privacy.
Mangeshkar has always been quite active on social media. She posted throwback images and interacted with her fans. The news of her contacting the virus spread speedily and ever since “Get Well Soon Lata Mangeshkar” has been trending on social media.
She is one of the best-known singers in the Hindi film industry. She is the second vocalist to receive the Bharat Ratna Award in 2001. Her other awards include Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke Award and many National Film Awards.
