The Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards is the biggest non-entertainment event in India. This Award ceremony congratulates and honours those people, who have made huge changes in the society with selfless services. Politicians, businessmen, social workers, artists, athletes and also people from the entertainment industry are awarded for their contributions.
This year, Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards ceremony took place in Mumbai yesterday, October 11. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis felicitated the deservers with the awards.
Ranveer Singh won the award for his outstanding work in ’83’ (2021). While receiving the award, he gave a splendid speech about Amitabh Bachchan, who turned 80 yesterday. The actor also expressed his gratitude towards the city on the stage. While being emotional, he said Maharashtra is his “janmabhoomi, karmabhoomi, mera sab kuch. (Maharashtra is my birth place, my work place, my everything).” Ranveer further added, “Whatever I am, I am because of this state and my whole identity is related to it.”
Today, Kiara Advani shared the precious moment of her receiving the award on stage from Chief Minister of Maharashtra on social media and expressed her feeling in the caption. She wrote a heartwarming note, “Born and Brought up in Maharashtra my heart is filled with immense gratitude to receive the Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year from our honourable leaders, Shri Eknath Shinde ji , Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji and Shri Promod Sawant Ji. Thankyou @lokmat and @rishidarda for this prestigious honour.”
Both the actors were seen wearing white clothes. While Kiara seen wearing a gorgeous white embroidered saree, Ranveer was seen in an all-white suit. Both were looking absolutely dreamy.
