John Cena is one of the greatest wrestlers for the ‘90s generation. Born in West Newbury, he made his debut in the wrestling industry in 1999 for Ultimate Pro Wrestling (UPW). After that, he signed a contract with World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2001. He made his official TV debut as a rookie to challenge Kurt Angle on SmackDown in 2002. John Cena has made history by becoming 16 times world champion in wrestling.

The 45-year-old wrestler had left WWE in 2012 to focus on his Hollywood career. Although, he has not completely left WWE, he has been only working as a part-time wrestler. Cena has starring in films since 2006 and has worked in a number of projects like ‘Wrestle Mania 31’ (2015), ‘F9’ (2021), ‘The Suicide Squad’ (2021) and many more. He made his Hollywood debut with ‘The Marine’ (2006).

Now, Cena is all set to make his grand return in the wrestling arena to celebrate his 20 years of his career with WWE. He took to his Twitter and unveiled the big news and also confirmed the date, which is on this June 27, 2022 and wrote, “Been far too long and what a special occasion to be able spend with the @WWEUniverse!” The match is going to be held in Laredo, Texas, as he also confirmed by saying, “Laredo, TX, C U soon!!!” The date, June 27 is the exact date, when Cena joined WWE in 2002.

Cena previously had also gave some hints about his return. In an interview with Adam Glyn in ‘Adam’s Apple’ show, he teased and sarcastically said, “I know in WWE years, I turn 20 pretty soon, so that’s a big thing from a pretty storied class of folks. Batista, Randy Orton, Brock, we kind of all turn 20 this year. I am aware that is coming around the corner, and who knows. But it is one of those hard truths to bare, there is a lot of cool stuff going on and I don’t want to say no to any of these opportunities that are on my doorstep. I don’t know when I will be back, but hopefully, it is soon. I have been gone for too long.”

John Cena is currently impressing the audiences with his stellar acting performance in ‘Peacemaker’ (2022) series. Next he is gearing up of ‘Fast X’, a sequel of ‘F9’, which is currently marked to be released in 2023.
