So now it’s officially confirmed that Kabir Khan’s next film starring Salman Khan has been titled ‘Tubelight’. This title was doing the rounds in media for a long time, but finally Kabir himself revealed today that their next collaboration which will have China element in the story, will be called ‘Tubelight’.
Like his previous movies ‘Kabul Express’, ‘New York’ and ‘Phantom’, this film will also have a strong political background in the content. “It is about a personal issue. Can’t talk about what exactly right now. Needless to say my films always have a political backdrop to them because thats what excites me and I find real. So ‘Tubelight’ also has a little political backdrop,” Kabir said.
“In terms of its emotional space it is similar to Bajrangi Bhaijaan. But story is very different. It is more of humour and emotional space that we (Salman and I) haven’t delved into,” he added.
This is Kabir’s third collaboration with Salman after ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ and ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Especially after the latter’s worldwide grand success, the excitement for their new movie is huge all over. ‘Tubelight’ will go on floors after the release of ‘Sultan’.
