After making a huge impact with the various characters he played on television for a decade, Karan V Grover is all set to make his Hindi film debut with ‘Wedding Pullav’. In this interview, he talks about making a foray into films and striving to strike a balance between television and films.

You worked in television for a decade. What made you switch to films now?

I see it as a natural progression. Every actor wants to become a film star. So, if you get a chance to act in films, you grab it up. That is exactly what happened with me. I was not looking out for films but ‘Wedding Pullav’ just fell into my lap. Shashi (Ranjan) ji asked me to audition for the film. I thought I could give it a try and if things work out I will take a break of a year from television.

Tell us about your character in the film.
I play a character called J. J, who lives in London and specialises in painting nude models. He is head in heels in love with his girlfriend Anushka (Anushka Ranjan) and comes to Thailand to marry her. The character is that of a very chilled out and laidback guy.:
