Hollywood’s iconic action star Steven Seagal turns 70

Born in Lansing, Michigan, Steven Frederic Seagal has always maintained a very distinguished style of action scenes in his career. He has always tried different types of martial art dynamos. This is because of his deep-root of Aikido background, which is a special form of Japanese martial art. Seagal is a 7th-dan black belt in Aikido.

The actor turned 70 years old today, April 10. So, let’s rejoice this moment by looking back at some of his significant pinnacles of his life.

Steven Seagal is the first actor in Hollywood, who introduced martial arts in films in 1988 with Warner Bros. action-thriller ‘Above The Law’. He also made his debut in the industry with this film. After its release, Seagal has earned a huge fan-base and from then on he started signing some of the biggest action movies in Hollywood.

Seagal’s remarkable works are ‘Hard To Kill’ (1990), ‘Marked For Death’ (1990), ‘Out Of Justice’ (1991), ‘Under Siege’ (1992), ‘Under Siege 2: Dark Territory’ (1995), ‘The Glimmer Man’ (1996), ‘My Giant’ (1997), ‘Prince Of Central Park’ (2000), ‘The Foreigner’ (2002), ‘Dragon Squad’ (2005), ‘Shadow Man’ (2006) and many more.

Segal has also equally given some notable TV series such as ‘Saturday Night Live’ (1991), ‘Steven Seagal: Lawman’ (2009-2014), ‘True Justice’ (2011-2012) among others.

Seagal is also a great guitarist and has released two albums ‘Songs From The Crystal Cave’ (2005) and ‘Mojo Priest’ (2006). He has worked with famous musicians Stevie Wonder and Tony Rebel in his albums. Seagal is also an environmentalist and a supporter of 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso.

Steven Seagal was married four times with Miyako Fujitani from 1975 to 1986, Adrienne La Russa from 1984 to 1984, then Kelly LeBrock from 1987 to 1996 and Erdenetuye Batsukh since 2009 and he has seven children from them.
