Ever since the pandemic started from 2020, we have overcome many ups and downs and now it’s been two years we are thrust into this dreadful situation and finally 2022 came. Before this pandemic, films used to hit the theatres and earn heftily at the box office, but now as we are stuck in lockdowns and at home, the internet has taken a big space in our life and the makers started to release the films on various OTT platforms such as Apple TV+, Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime Videos, Netflix, Hulu and many more.

2021 had given us many blockbuster hits in theatres as well as on OTT platforms, which kept us entertained throughout the year. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence’s collaboration, the sci-fi blockbuster ‘Don’t Look Up’ was released on December 5, 2021. The film has successfully grabbed the audience’s attention and has been viewed for about 2 billion minutes on Netflix.

Another Disney animated film, which caught the audience’s attention in 2021 is ‘Ron’s Gone Wrong’. The film has been viewed for about 378 million minutes on the Disney OTT platform.

Her film ‘The Unforgivable’ has been viewed for about 323 million minutes on Netflix and stayed in the top ten list for about a month since its release.

‘Shang-Chi And The Legends Of The Ten Rings’ is the first Marvel film with a maximum Asian cast and has earned huge acclaim from the audiences. The film has been viewed for about 260 million minutes on Disney OTT platform.

Jungle Cruise

Another Dwayne Johnson’s film, that has caught the audience’s attention in 2021 is ‘Jungle Cruise’. The film is an adventure-action drama and also stars Emily Blunt. ‘Jungle Cruise’ has been watched for about 229 million minutes on Disney OTT platform.
