Farhan Akhtar’s female-centric directorial Jee Le Zaraa back on track

Amidst all the rumours, Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial ‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is finally back on the track.

Earlier, it was speculated that the makers have shelved the film and it won’t happen anytime in the near future. But putting all the rumours to the rest, Farhan Akhtar, who is directing the film has clarified that the film is very much on track and is in the making.

The actor-director has begun location scouting for the film, and is currently in Rajasthan to conduct a recce. Farhan shared the news on his Twitter handle, and wrote, “Searching for gold #locationscout #jeelezaraa.”

Talking about the film, it was announced on August 10, 2021, with Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt. The film is said to be a female-centric road trip-based film and all three actresses will play lead roles in it. Currently in pre-production, the film is expected to go on floors by this year.

‘Jee Le Zaraa’ is written by Farhan Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Zoya Akhtar and is produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby. The film also marks the comeback of Farhan Akhtar to the director’s chair after twelve years. His last directed film was ‘Don 2’ (2011), which had Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles.
