Billie Eilish, who is currently one of the top singers with a huge number of fan following in Hollywood and also a Grammy winner, had quite a terrifying teenage life. Recently in an interview with Vogue, the “Lovely” singer finally opened up about her traumatic past with her illness.
She explained that she literally used to hate her body and had too much anger issues. Before being a singer, Billie had a desire to be a dancer in her teenage days but her injury led to a change in plans, which was quite frustrating for her.
Billie Eilish first grabbed attention of the audiences with her “Ocean Eyes” song when she was 13 year old in 2016 and soon after that she got injured with growth plate in her hip.
Talking about the times of struggles with the pain and injury, Billie shared that she felt like her body was gaslighting her anger and mood swings and it took her years to understand that it’s her own body and she can’t get rid of all these struggles. She has to endure it. Later when she got diagnosed with Hypermobility, it put the last nail in the coffin of her tolerance.
Hypermobility is a syndrome where an individual has overly flexible joints, causing them to bend more than they should, which can be tremendously painful.
Billie shared to Vogue, “Going through my teenage years of hating myself and all that stupid shit, a lot of it came from my anger toward my body and how mad I was at how much pain it’s caused me and how much I have lost because of things that happened to it.”
