One of the most popular singers of Hollywood, Halsey, who rose to fame with the song “Closer” in 2016, has recently shared a dreadful incident of her life. She finally gathered her courage and talked about her miscarriage journey through an open letter to Vogue, following the US Supreme Court’s decision striking down Roe V. Wade.

The 27-year-old singer also shared about her thoughts on the topic of abortion rights and why the court’s decision is irrelevant by saying, “My abortion saved my life and gave way for my son to have his. Every person deserves the right to choose when, if, and how they have this dangerous and life-altering experience. I will hold my son in one arm, and fight with all my might with the other.”

Halsey and her boyfriend, Alev Aydin have welcomed their first child, Ender Ridley Aydin in July, 2021 after struggling a lot. She further shared that they have suffered three miscarriages before, “One of my miscarriages required aftercare, a gentle way of saying that I would need an abortion, because my body could not terminate the pregnancy completely on its own and I would risk going into sepsis without medical intervention.”

Halsey is currently not the only one celebrity to open up about this topic and go against the court’s decision. There are many others like Jennifer Lawrence, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Patricia Arquette, etc. have also came forward and spoken up about the Roe V. Wade decision in their interviews.
