There’s no doubt that Deepika Padukone is one of the A-list actresses in India currently. She made her debut in the industry featuring in Himesh Reshammiya’s chartbuster song “Naam Hai Tera” in 2005 and later made her debut in films with ‘Om Shanti Om’ in 2007 opposite Shah Rukh Khan. After that, she has given back-to-back hits like ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ (2008), ‘Love Aaj Kal’ (2009), ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’ (2013), ‘Happy New Year’ (2014), ‘Piku’ (2015) and numerous other remarkable films and seized audiences attention every year.

After becoming one of the top actresses in Bollywood, she bagged a big Hollywood project too, namely ‘XXX: Return Of Xander Cage’ (2017). We have also learnt that, she will be next seen in STXFilms’ rom-com, ‘Temple Hill’.

Now, according to a survey of BOF (The Business Of Fashion), Deepika has been ranked as the top popular face across the whole South Asia region including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Not only that, her popularity stretched among the Indian diaspora of 25-30 million people living in the US, Canada, UK and Australia too.

Deepika Padukone has been the A-list member of BOF since 2019 and in these last eighteen months, she has cemented her status as India’s most powerful global fashion ambassador with a swirl of brand endorsement deals like Levi’s, Adidas, Luis Vuitton, Cartier and many more.

Surely it’s quite a proud moment for India to have another such significant personality born here.
