Irrespective of giving several other genres in Hollywood, Chris Evans is typically known for his role as Captain America. It cannot be denied that the superhero role has introduced Evans with a new identity. Hence Marvel is one of the main reasons for the actor’s achieving such a huge fan following.

Despite becoming such a big star now, the ‘Knives Out’ actor accepted that Marvel kills movie stars with their superhero characters. Long back this comment was first raised by Quentin Tarantino about Marvel. And now the Captain America star himself agreed to him.

Recently while shooting for GQ‘s October issue, the 42-year-old actor revealed the real reason for walking away from Captain America. He also shared that he isn’t afraid to turn his back on Hollywood as well. “Captain America is the star or Thor is the star.” he shared, “That was the beauty of working on Marvel films. You never really had to be front and centre. Even in your own films sometimes. Quentin Tarantino said it recently and I was like, you know, he’s right. The character is the star. You’re there, but you don’t feel the burden of it.”

Interestingly, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige absolutely disagreed with Evans. “I think it’s something like Chris was telling himself and I think it’s something many of the Avengers, including Robert, would tell themselves”, he told GQ, “Actually it was very helpful to the process. But in certain cases, including Chris, it’s not entirely true.”

Acting less nowadays is becoming a new motivation for Evans. While hinting that he might leave Hollywood, ‘The Gray Man’ actor shared that apart from acting, he has a lot of different interests in life, “Look, by no means have I climbed any sort of a mountain in this field. I have no Oscars and I’m not lumped with other names that are at the top of the mountain in any way. But I also feel very satisfied.”

Chris Evans proudly said that he is lucky to work with Marvel for the past eleven years, which gave him less work yet financial stability.
