Though this 21st century generation has become quite broad minded regarding the LGBTQ community and has been celebrating World Pride Day, but seems like the entertainment industry couldn’t welcome this change properly yet. And it’s proved by the fact that it’s been almost 2 decades since the first and last time Ellen DeGeneres was the first person to come out as gay in front of the camera through her sitcom, ‘Ellen’ in 1994 and in 1998, ‘Will & Grace’ was the first primetime network comedy built around an openly gay character.

Now, Billy Eichner, the renowned comedian, who is also the most eligible gay bachelor, is coming forward to make a huge change in Hollywood. According to Variety, he will be portraying a gay role in the upcoming rom-com, ‘Bros’.

The comedian-actor revealed to Variety that he has again got kicked off from Tinder for the second time. The first time he got kicked off was in 2019 and during an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Show’, he revealed that he was removed from Tinder because the company thought he was a catfish pretending to be Eichner, although the dating app later apologized to him by sending a T-shirt and a mug with ‘World’s Hottest Single’ and ‘Happy Valentine’s Day…to Me’ mentioned on it.

During the interview with Variety, Billy Eichner said, “I was like, fuck it. I’m not going through this again. I can’t book a late-night talk show appearance just to get reinstated on Tinder. I will stick to Hinge and Grindr and everything else. I do not need another mug telling me it’s OK to be alone.”

While talking about his upcoming film, ‘Bros’, which he has also co-written, Billy shared, “Hollywood took a century to make this film. That’s not my fault, that’s Hollywood’s fault for taking this fucking long.”

‘Bros’ is coming to amaze us in theatres on September 30, 2022. The film has recently made a grand premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival 2022 (TIFF).

Let’s see how much revolution ‘Bros’ makes in this entertainment industry.
