Beetlejuice 2: Wednesday star Jenna Ortega to reunite with Tim Barton in the sequel

After blowing minds in ‘Wednesday’ (2022) with her quirky character, Jenna Ortega seems to all set to stay in Tim Barton family. According to few US reports, the young actress is currently in talks to star in the sequel of ‘Beetlejuice’ (1988).

Even though it was released more than three decades ago, the Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder-starrer is still considered as one of the most iconic films in Hollywood. And now the news of the sequel and Jenna Ortega’s circling a role in the film is making quite headlines on social media.

Although Warner Bros. hasn’t made any official statement yet, the news of ‘Beetlejuice 2’ was already making rounds from past few years. The first installment was directed by Tim Barton and this time, he has been roped in again for directing the second installment. Jenna Ortega will also be reuniting with Barton for the second time after ‘Wednesday’.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Keaton will be returning in the sequel as well and Jenna Ortega is supposed to play the role of the daughter of Lydia Deetz, which was played by Winona Ryder in the original.

‘Beetlejuice’ had scored an Oscar for Best Make-up at the Academy Awards 1989. The sequel was in the offing for quite a long time and now as per reports, it will finally go on floor this May or June.
