Ranveer Singh is the only actor in Bollywood who makes everyone’s head turn with his quirky fashion, dynamic films in his kitty and what not. Debuting with Yash Raj Films’ ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ (2010), Ranveer’s majestic acting made him an actor to watch out with his first film.

It’s known to very few that Ranveer Singh partially comes from a film background family as his grandmother Chand Burke was a character-actress in the ‘70s and ‘80s. Singh is also related to Anil Kapoor’s family too as his wife Sunita Kapoor and Singh’s mother Anju Bhavnani are first cousins. Hence Ranveer sometimes gets tagged with the ‘nepo kid’ term. Although this news came out much later, by then Singh had already cemented his career quite well in Bollywood as an outsider.

Ranveer Singh appeared in several significant films like ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl’ (2011), ‘Lootera’ (2013), ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela’ (2013), ‘Gunday’ (2014), ‘Bajirao Mastani’ (2015), ‘Padmavaat’ (2018), ‘Simmba’ (2018) and ‘Gully Boy’ (2019). With these film, not only Ranveer grabbed audiences’ attention like a pro, but also became a prominent star as several of his films were huge hits.

As it’s known to all, after the dreadful pandemic, the entertainment industry tremendously trembled and it witnessed lots of losses. Even after the business came back on track in late 2021, many films faced huge losses.

Hence after raising the excitement so high till 2019, it was quite shocking to witness Ranveer Singh’s downfall in recent times. After pandemic, all his three films flopped at the box office. Even fans got super upset and shared their disappointment on the internet.

Whether ’83’ (2021), ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ (2022) or recently released ‘Cirkus’ (2022), all his films underperformed at box office. In fact, the audiences had high hopes from ‘Cirkus’ as it’s Rohit Shetty’s typical extravagant entertainer, but looking at the box office collections, it is clear that the movie hasn’t impressed the public.

Now Ranveer is all set to make his next quirky appearance with Karan Johar and Alia Bhatt in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. It will be released on April 28, 2023.

Here’s hoping this talented and quirky actor is able to rule once again in the new year.
