Having charmed the audiences with his acting skills on shows like ‘Mahabharat’ (Star Plus), ‘Basera’ (NDTV Imagine), ‘Shobha Somnath Ki’ (Zee TV), ‘Ghar Aaja Pardesi’ (Sahara One) and ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ (Zee TV), Ankit Mohan paved his way into Bollywood with his debut film ‘Mausam’ (2011). And now, Ankit seems to be progressing in his Bollywood career as the lad is all set to amaze the audience on the silver screen.

Our source reveals, “Ankit is doing a movie with actor-turned-director Prabhat Bhattacharya. Since the film is based on football, Ankit worked on himself in the gym as well as on the ground. He would be seen as John, the captain of a football team. The character is very different and to keep up with the niti-gritties, he has been practising football. Anupam Kher would be essaying the role of the coach in the film. The story of the film is very gripping with lots of twist and turns and carries a beautiful moral.”

When we got in touch with Ankit, he confirmed and shared, “Yes, I am part of this film. When I met Prabhat for his film, initially he could not place me anywhere in his film since the story is about footballers and I was a little bulky that time. He mentioned that he is looking for a more athletic physique to suit the character. But still he shared the broad story of his film. I immediately realised that I needed to change my look. A month later when I met him again, he was surprised to see me moulding myself to fit in the role. So far I have lost 15 kgs for the film. It’s been 9 years that I have been into fitness which helped me achieve it. I am happy and looking forward for audience to accept me in the new look.”
