Amitabh Bachchan turns 80: The rare star who enjoys an insane fan following across generations

Amitabh Bachchan, the first actor from India, whose popularity has spread around the world widely and crazily, has turned 80 years old today, October 11. As a result, it’s a big day for him, as well as for his fans. Big B is a rare star in Bollywood, who has a huge fan following from all generations. Debuted in 1969 with ‘Saat Hindustani’, Bachchan kept on giving marvellous films successively.

In his fifty years of career in the industry, from ‘Sholay’ (1975) to ‘Dostana’ (1980), ‘Silsila’ (1981) to ‘Shehenshah’ (1988), ‘Agneepath’ (1991) to ‘Baghban’ (2003) and many more, Bachchan has worked in over 200 evergreen films and still continuing his legacy in 2022. There is not a single actor in the industry, who has contributed so much to cinema and influenced our culture other than Big B.

Bachchan has worked with various small-level, as well as eminent directors and producers in his five decades of career from all the generations like Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Prakash Mehra, Manmohan Desai, Mrinal Sen, Yash Chopra, Ramesh Sippy, Aditya Chopra, R Balki, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and lots more. Whether it’s a small or big budget film, romantic or thriller or action or even a cameo, his appearance has always left a stupendous mark on the silver screen.

Today the whole India is celebrating his 80th birthday and flooded the social media with their birthday wishes. Not only from the entertainment industry, Amitabh Bachchan has also received an admiring wish from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

To surprise fans, Amitabh Bachchan has yesterday revealed that fans can watch his latest release ‘Goodbye’ only for Rs. 80 at cinemas on his 80th birthday. He also revealed that the very special song “Happy Birthday” from ‘Goodbye’ will be releasing today, which we are sure will definitely be loved by his fans.
