Amitabh Bachchan gets nostalgic while promoting K A Abbas’ book; shares his experience

Amitabh Bachchan is that one big name not only in India, but worldwide, who has previously given and continues to deliver remarkable performances. Not only the previous generations, but even the current generation still cherish his works, either it’s films or songs.

We all know that Bachchan made his debut with ‘Saat Hindustani’ in 1970. The film was directed by the eminent, Late Khawja Ahmed Abbas aka K A Abbas. Recently, Bachchan shared a video on Instagram, promoting K A Abbas’ book, Sone Chandi Ke Buth, which will be published on September 15, 2022. Bachchan revealed that the book is all about cinemas for all generations and is about Abbas’ experiences.

Bachchan narrated in the video, “Namaskar this is Amitabh Bachchan. I’m holding a book called, Sone Chandi Ke Buth, which is written by K A Abbas, Khawja Ahmed Abbas, a great writer, great mind, an incredible human being, writer, producer and director. He gave me my first break, the film, ‘Saat Hindustani’. I called him mamu jaan. This book is written in Urdu and translated in English by Sayeda Hameed and Sukhpreet Khalon and it’s going to be inaugurated on the 15th.”

“Mamu jaan was an incredible human being, his ethics, his morals, his dignity, his outlook on society in the country, was just incredible. We don’t meet people like him anymore. I wish you can go through this book because there are many incidents of mamu jaan’s interaction with the film industry in our country and particularly the one in Mumbai. It gives you many insights of many tales and stories of his impressions, of his times spent here. Sone Chandi Ke Buth, writings on Cinema by Khawja Ahmed Abbas to be launched on 15th September. My great honour and privilege to be talking about it and presenting this book to you. Thank you very much”, Bachchan further continued.
