We are happy to declare that the Media and Entertainment Producers Coordination Committee (MEPCC) formed by the IMPPA, IFTPC, WIFPA, ASAP and ABMCM the associations of all content producers have come under one umbrella and have formed action committee to ensure compliance of directions of CCI and Labour Commissioner whereby Trade unions have been barred from insisting of member to member working whereby they used to force the producers to use only their members and it has also barred the visits of the union’s vigilance officers on the shooting locations under any circumstances.

The joint committee of all the producers associations have decided to ensure full protection and security to all producers who make entertainment content who have been asked to do their work without any tension because if they face any disruption or disturbance in the work or shooting by the trade unions they should remember the State Government as well as Police Department have assured full safety and protection to all producers and any producer facing any threat of extortion or disruption of work should immediately file Police complaint in the nearest Police station and also immediately inform their association so that immediate action can be initiated against the parties indulging in any unfair labour practices. The release also informed that being tired of unfair labor practices and extortion under different garbs the committee has decided to launch a new method of recruitment and selection of workers which will be unveiled soon.
