Taking the road less travelled often, Akshay Oberoi is happy to be part of stories that make an impact and are told with sensitivity. His tryst with stories that matter is marked with ‘Pizza’ (2014), a horror film that acquired a cult status with time. Oberoi’s first horror film clocked eight years this year. Going down memory lane, the actor shares what it was like headlining a horror film.

Nostalgic Akshay shared, “When the film was offered to me everything about it intrigued me. I was happy that it gave me the opportunity to attempt the horror genre. It was all kinds of new and exciting for me. What I love about Pizza is that it was nothing like the horror films that were being made at the time. A big thanks to everyone who made it special.”

‘Pizza’ tells the story of a delivery boy, Kunal (Akshay Oberoi), whose mundane life takes a horrifying turn when he is off to deliver a pizza to the home of a family with a dark secret. The plot of the film hangs on the suspense of whether or not Kunal overcomes the apparent evil that lurks in the shadows.

On the work front, he will next be seen in projects such as ‘Gaslight’ along with Sara Ali Khan, Vikrant Massey and Chitrangada Singh, ‘Varchasva’ along with Ravi Kishan and Tridha Choudhary and a social satire ‘Ek Kori Prem Katha’.
