Akshay Kumar has started shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’. The film is directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Himanshu Sharma.
‘Raksha Bandhan’ also features Bhumi Pednekar. The whole team has started shooting on 21st June in Mumbai. This is the second movie of Bhumi Pednekar with Akshay Kumar after Shree Narayan Singh’s ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ (2017).
Akshay Kumar has shared a picture from the set of the movie on Twitter. Dedicating the film to his sister he wrote, “Growing up my sister, Alka was my first friend. It was the most effortless friendship. @aanandlrai’s #RakshaBandhan is a dedication to her and a celebration of that special bond ❤️ Day one of the shoot today, need your love and best wishes 🙏 @bhumipednekar #AlkaHiranandani”.

This is Akshay Kumar’s second film with Aanand L. Rai, after ‘Atrangi Re’ co-starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. Meanwhile, Akshay is waiting to release his another film ‘Sooryavanshi’, which is directed by Rohit Shetty. It was about to release last year, but due to the pandemic it got postponed.
