In December last year, the makers of Ajay Devgn starrer sports drama ‘Maidaan’ announced that the film will hit the screens in February 2023. However, we hear that the film has been delayed yet again.

Actor Ajay Devgn, who is enjoying the success of his last release ‘Drishyam 2’ (2022), is gearing up for the release of his next biggie ‘Bholaa’, which is directed by Ajay Devgn himself and also stars Ajay in the lead role. ‘Bholaa’ will hit the big screens on March 30, 2023.

But there is one film of Ajay Devgn which is seeing the light of delay and postponement since the announcement and that film is ‘Maidaan’, a sports drama film based on the life of Syed Abdul Rahim.

After the shooting of the film wrapped up in April last year, the makers announced the film’s release date to be June 3, but due to the heavy post production work and delay in the CGI work of the film, the makers announced a new release date of February 17 for the film. Everything was finalized but again due to some unforeseen reasons the film got postponed to May 12, 2023.

Now the latest buzz going on in B-Town suggests that the film will miss its announced release date and the makers are now all looking to release the film on June 23, 2023.

‘Maidaan’ is produced by Boney Kapoor and supported by Zee Studios and is directed by Amit Sharma. The film is based on the real-life story of Syed Abdul Rahim who worked as the coach and manager of the Indian football team since 1950, played by Ajay Devgn.
